We enjoyed the original Hajime no Ippo immensley.

Ippo Makunouchi continues his boxing career and his goal on knowing the meaning of being strong, and the desire on fighting his idol Ichiro Miyata once again. Along him are pro boxers Takamura, Aoki and Kimura that each one of them aspire to their own dreams.

The story resumes from where the first series ended, with the Miyata Ichirou vs. Arnie Gregory story arc. The series also covered Date Eiji’s rematch with Ricardo Martinez, Ippo’s fight against former kouhai Yamada Naomichi (Hammer Nao), Itagaki’s debut match against Makino Fumito, and Takamura’s Jr Middleweight championship match against Bryan Hawk.

What a brilliant anime it is too.

Synopsis: The story revolves around Mina Tepes, princess-ruler of all vampires, and her “protector,” Akira. Like other vampires, Mina has been in hiding with her people for many years. Seeking to end centuries of isolation, Mina gains permission to create a special district for vampires, “The Bund”, off the coast of Japan by paying off the national debt of the Japanese government. Mina then reveals to the world the existence of vampires and her desire for both races to live together.

Season 2 of Spice and Wolf follows on from season 1 (no suprise there). It’s a bit less of a plot and concentrates more on the characters, mainly Horo and Lawrence.

Continuing where the first series left off, it follows Kraft Lawrence a experienced traveling merchant and his sharp tongued wolf god companion Horo on their journey to return to Holo’s home to the north called Yoitsu. A tender relationship has blossomed between the characters, as they make deals, travel between cities, encounter religious fanatics or vice versa and mostly just do what a traveling merchant has to do to get by.

There’s a bit of nudity from Horo, which I’m surprised they let go through. All the shapes are there, everything except the nipps.

I liked it, not quite as much as Season 1 but even so it’s a well decent watch.

So what’s it all about?

It’s about Michiko who is a star diva wanting to escape her present life. Then there is Hatchin, who wishes to escape the horrible foster home she lives in. Together they are seeking ‘freedom’ from their troubled lives together. Two people with opposite personas and a age gap trying to escape which seems to get them into some rowdy advetures as the trailer seems to show.

Her fellow guardian, Zero Kiryu, a childhood companion whose parents were killed by a pureblood vampire, is now determined to kill them all and refuses to trust them. Through a cruel twist of fate, Zero becomes a vampire himself, having been bitten by a pure-blood vampire four years before, Shizuka Hio. Kaname leads the group of Night class as their President, with the help of Takuma Ichijo, the Vice-president

What’s Rebuild of Evangelion all about?

Rebuild of Evangelion is a tetralogy of animated films which are a remake/re-imagining of the original anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The story of Evangelion primarily begins in 2000 with the “Second Impact”, a global cataclysm which almost completely destroyed Antarctica and led to the deaths of half the human population of Earth. The Impact is believed by the public at large and even most of Nerv to have been the impact of a meteorite landing in Antarctica, causing devastating tsunamis and a change in the Earth’s axial tilt (leading to global climate change) and subsequent geopolitical unrest, nuclear war (such as the nuking of Tokyo), and general economic distress.

Like we mentioned – this is a remake, or a re-telling of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion.

What’s Noir about?

Noir follows the story of two young female assassins, the Corsican Mireille Bouquet and the Japanese amnesiac Yumura Kirika, who embark together on a personal journey to seek answers about mysteries concerning their past. While at first they seem to be only vaguely related to each other, there are clues and hints given throughout the series that there is more going on behind the scenes than at first glance.

Casshern Sins is an awesome anime. Brilliant animation and a decent plot. (it’s great to get back to a story based anime, after Hellsing).

What’s Casshern Sins all about?

Casshern Sins tells the story of a world where robots subjugated humanity after becoming self-aware. Their leader, Braiking Boss, ruled over the world with an iron fist. One day, a mysterious girl named Luna is summoned by the people, in order to bring salvation of mankind. Fearing her as a potential threat, Braiking sent three of his most powerful cyborg warriors to dispose of Luna: Casshern, Dio and Leda. Casshern, the strongest warrior, manages to track down and kill Luna, however, this triggers a cataclysmic event which sets into motion the end of the world. Hundreds of years later, the world’s atmosphere is filled with poison, and, due to the inability of most remaining humans to reproduce, as well as the constant threat posed by the robots, humanity is on the brink of extinction.
