What’s Rebuild of Evangelion all about?

Rebuild of Evangelion is a tetralogy of animated films which are a remake/re-imagining of the original anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The story of Evangelion primarily begins in 2000 with the “Second Impact”, a global cataclysm which almost completely destroyed Antarctica and led to the deaths of half the human population of Earth. The Impact is believed by the public at large and even most of Nerv to have been the impact of a meteorite landing in Antarctica, causing devastating tsunamis and a change in the Earth’s axial tilt (leading to global climate change) and subsequent geopolitical unrest, nuclear war (such as the nuking of Tokyo), and general economic distress.

Like we mentioned – this is a remake, or a re-telling of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion.

What’s Noir about?

Noir follows the story of two young female assassins, the Corsican Mireille Bouquet and the Japanese amnesiac Yumura Kirika, who embark together on a personal journey to seek answers about mysteries concerning their past. While at first they seem to be only vaguely related to each other, there are clues and hints given throughout the series that there is more going on behind the scenes than at first glance.

Casshern Sins is an awesome anime. Brilliant animation and a decent plot. (it’s great to get back to a story based anime, after Hellsing).

What’s Casshern Sins all about?

Casshern Sins tells the story of a world where robots subjugated humanity after becoming self-aware. Their leader, Braiking Boss, ruled over the world with an iron fist. One day, a mysterious girl named Luna is summoned by the people, in order to bring salvation of mankind. Fearing her as a potential threat, Braiking sent three of his most powerful cyborg warriors to dispose of Luna: Casshern, Dio and Leda. Casshern, the strongest warrior, manages to track down and kill Luna, however, this triggers a cataclysmic event which sets into motion the end of the world. Hundreds of years later, the world’s atmosphere is filled with poison, and, due to the inability of most remaining humans to reproduce, as well as the constant threat posed by the robots, humanity is on the brink of extinction.

Viewing wasn’t easy because there’s almost no plot . It’s an anime that’s style over substance. Style it has in plenty, so in the end it was a pleasure to capture the screenshots.

So, what’s Hellsing anime all about?

Hellsing is a manga about the Holy Order of Protestant Knights, led by the latest member of the legendary Hellsing bloodline. Their mission is to protect Queen and Country from the forces of the Undead and the forces of darkness.

FullMetal Alchemist -FMA- is our newest capture.

FMA is the story of Edward and Alphonse Elric, who’s mother dies when they are very young. To bring her back they perform Alchemy which goes horribly wrong. Ed loses an arm and a leg and Alphonse his body. This is the principle of equivalent trade, in order to gain something you must offer something of equivalent value. Since human alchemy (creating humans) was impossible with current alchemy Ed and Alphonse begin their quest to find the fabled Philosopher’s Stone …

It’s an enjoyable anime, if a bit long (52 episodes).
